21 Weeks

How far along? 21 Weeks
Total weight gain: 15+ lbs. I just received a my "21 Week" email from WhatToExpect.com and they have advised that it should get to be about a pound a week from here. Crazy town!
Best moment of the week: There continues to be so many great moments and this pregnancy has truly been so eye-opening and exciting. I have found some great finds on baby clothes and have had a blast already shopping for her first holiday season for next year!
Maternity clothes? Nope. I do think I'm probably kidding myself though when it comes to the very end and not having to buy maternity. I put on a shirt that I wore just two weeks ago and it was too tight - yikes! Wake up call :)
Sleep: Actually better than it has been! I've had the opportunity this past week to go to bed by 7:45pm one night, 8:30pm another night, and then the usual 9-9:30pm the other nights. Besides getting up to pee almost THREE times a night now (it doesn't help that each time I get up I drink a glass of water because I'm parched!), sleep it wonderful!
Miss anything? Being tan. And of course...my beloved cold turkey sandwiches. I have not had one in a week and a half so I'm going to Subway for lunch today! Yesssssssssss.
Food cravings: Nothing crazy. I have yet to have a full-blown FOOD CRAVING to where I make hubby go out and get something. :) Although, I was at the store this weekend (hungry - which is always a mistake!) and bought poptarts, cheez-its and one or two other funky items that would never grace my cart normally. I find it's important to give in every so often. :)
Anything making you queasy or sick? Nope.
Symptoms: The light-headedness and faintness has gotten so much better. I thought I maybe had low blood pressure; nope. I thought then maybe I was anemic; nope (and after a blood test that took three tries to get any blood to come OUT of me - I know for sure). Then when my Mom got back in the country and asked about my prenatal and when I was taking it...BAM. I now split my prenatal vitamin up to two times a day, instead of the once a day I was taking all of them, and I have felt tremendously better. Everyone kept blaming it on my workouts and need of rest, but I knew it was something other than that. With the amount of sleep I get and the fact that I really have pulled back tremendously at the gym, there was no way I was feeling that crappy over those things. While my workouts are getting lighter and shorter, there is still no way to make me feel better than leaving the gym. I hope to do at least a little of something up until little baby girl is born!
Belly button in or out? In. But there's a very slight ring forming around it?! What is that?!
Movement: No. I cannot wait!!!!
Happy or Moody most of the time? So very happy
Looking forward to: Baby's furniture arrives this Saturday and I can't WAIT! We also have a possible name but hubby has told me to think about it for two weeks before we make a decision...to make sure I won't change my mind. ;)

I have had the most fun picking out little outfits for baby girl. I definitely think this will be one of the best parts about having a little girl! I am having a bit of a hard time with self-control with the credit card...but since I'm such a bargain shopper I can always convince myself it's justified. :) Here are some of my favorite purchases from this week:

20 Weeks - Halfway There!!

How far along? 20 Weeks...halfway there baby!
Total weight gain: 15ish lbs. Yowza!
Best moment of the week: There have been so many! This was a wonderful week. On Friday, almost my entire family got to see little baby girl at our mid-way sonogram appointment. That was magical and really made me realize how fortunate we are to have a healthy baby girl. Later that weekend, we picked out and purchased baby's bedroom furniture! I am so excited and really fell in love with the collection that I found at...wait for it...JC Penny! I think I'll be really happy in the long run I didn't try to spend $3,000 on furniture; this collection has great reviews and is beautiful but without breaking the bank. After the furniture purchase I was just on a high and went crazy buying baby onesies and cute little outfits. It was a rainy day and my booty was planted snuggling on the couch with hubby - iPad and credit card in hand. :) I really hadn't started shopping for baby girl yet, and after things went so well with the sonogram I was just on cloud nine and really felt the onset of the "nesting" stage. I get more excited as each day passes!
Maternity clothes? Nope. Target and Francesca's have been my Heaven and I have bought oodles of sweater dresses and tunic tops. Hoping to use these as long as possible in the upcoming cooler months!
Sleep: It was pretty good this last week; can't really complain. I mentioned last week that I think I have just a few more weeks on my stomach..so I'm soaking it up and still getting a great amount of sleep each night. I try to be in bed by 8:30pm and asleep by 9pm!
Miss anything? Will I ever stop missing deli meat?! I also miss being tan. A lot.
Food cravings: I still hit up Lenny's aboutttttt 3 times a week. Other cravings would pretty much be anything salty and fried. Nothing in particular...I've done a lot better with eating and haven't splurged TOO too much...but when the weekends get here it's hard for me not to get a Mexican food fix at least once or twice. :)
Anything making you queasy or sick? Not really. Unless canned dog food counts...but I'm pretty sure that smell has ALWAYS make me queasy...
Symptoms: Lots and lots of lightheaded-ness and what feels like a rapid heart rate. I am going to the doctor today to just make sure everything is normal, which I'm sure it is, but there could be a slight chance I'm anemic. Or just paranoid. Either way! They squeezed me in and I will just feel better after talking to the doctor about it.
Belly button in or out? In. Hopefully for awhile longer!
Movement: No. Hopefully very very soon! They say between weeks 18-22 you should start to feel it...
Happy or Moody most of the time? So very happy
Looking forward to: Baby's furniture arriving and naming her!

One of the pictures from the 19-week sonogram appointment! Our sonogram tech looked and pretty much acted like Alan from the Hangover. It was a trip!

19 Weeks

How far along? 19 Weeks
Total weight gain: 12-13ish lbs.
Best moment of the week: Registering for little baby girl! Went with a great friend from work and Mom and Dad...it was mind-opening and I learned a lot. Now I've been having fun playing with the registries online :)
Maternity clothes? Not maternity clothes, but definitely different clothes! I had a field day at a few boutiques and Target getting some comfy (sorta) and stretchy dresses, sweaters and leggings for this period in my pregnancy. The less maternity clothes the better...but hot damn do I need to be comfortable! Ready for the cool weather to be here permanently so I can bust out the sweaters.
Sleep:  Still a bit uncomfortable. I might have another week or two on my stomach (well, sort-of on my stomach. Half stomach, half side-sleep) until I migrate to the "snoogle" permanently. Thank goodness for sweet parents who buy you extremely thoughtful gifts - the Snoogle will be my very best friend in the near future!
Miss anything? I don't even have to say it at this point... :)
Food cravings: Cold turkey and cheese sandwich from Subway (which I do indulge in once a week), sour gummy candy, and I can't help myself from staying away from the queso when we're out anywhere.
Anything making you queasy or sick? Not this week I don't think...
Symptoms:  Besides a big bump and big boobs, nothing much other than physical differences. Oh! Being extremely lightheaded and feeling weak. I've cut back a bit on my cardio workouts in hope to help that issue.
Belly button in or out? In. But I'll tell you what...it's freaking SHALLOW these days! It's grossing me out because I feel like you can see it in all my clothes I wear if there's not an under shirt or slip of some sort!
Movement: No. Hopefully very very soon! They say between weeks 18-22 you should start to feel it...
Happy or Moody most of the time? So very happy
Looking forward to: Little baby girl's big sonogram tomorrow! Hubby, all my sissies and Mama D will be there. Will be a family affair!

Partying vs. Pregnancy

18 Weeks

How far along? 18 Weeks
Total weight gain: 10-12ish lbs. I swear the scale goes up every single day!
Best moment of the week: I really sort of "popped" out this week! It's fun to really start to see the main sign of being preggo...the pregnant belly!
Maternity clothes? Speaking of showing, I took the plunge and wore my first "tight" shirt to work (up until now it's been all blousey tops because it's been that "Is she fat, or is she pregnant" stage :)..) and although I wouldn't say I feel comfortable in tight clothes yet, it's alllllllllmost obvious I'm pregnant. I've bought LOTS of tight, long sweaters and leggings and dresses for cooler weather...now only if it would hurry up and get here so I have something cute to wear instead of just looking too big for these normal warmer weather clothes!
Sleep: It's beginning to get a bit uncomfortable. I'm almost to the stage where I will need to sleep on my side, and that's never been my thing. I will definitely be investing in a body pillow (how are the three of us - hubby, me, AND body pillow) be able to fit in the bed?! Regardless, it's just not always comfortable to just lay in bed anymore. At 5am when I usually wake up, for whatever reason my tummy feels so full I'm about to pop so it's less than comfy.
Miss anything? Have I mentioned I miss deli meat? ;) I have friends now texting me when they're eating sandwiches saying they're thinking about me...
Food cravings: Sunchips...anything fast food...luckily I don't give into the fast food craving except maybe a bite of something here and there. But after a lasagna-brownie-Mexican food-cinnamon roll weekend, I really still try to practice a little more willpower during the week.
Anything making you queasy or sick? Chik-fil-A GRILLED chicken sandwiches...and pretty much grilled chicken sandwiches from most places. It's such a bummer! If I can't eat much deli meat...and I can't stomach chicken sandwiches...w
Symptoms: Nothing too new...
Belly button in or out? In!
Movement: No. Hopefully very very soon!
Happy or Moody most of the time? Happy!
Looking forward to: Registering for little baby girl this weekend! :)
